Exploration of IoT Nodes Communication Using LoRaWAN in Forest Environment

The simultaneous advances in the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial intelligence (AI) and Robotics is going to revolutionize our world near future. In recent years, LoRa (Long Range) wireless powered by LoRaWAN (LoRa Wide Area Network) protocol has attracted attention researchers for numerous applications IoT domain. a low power, unlicensed Industrial, Scientific, Medical (ISM) band-equipped technology that utilizes wide area network protocol, i.e., LoRaWAN, incorporate itself into infrastructure. this paper, we have evaluated communication implementation (Internet Things) nodes’ forest scenario. outdoor performance physical layer, been Kashirampur Uttarakhand, India. Hence, present paper aims towards analyzing level observing changes Signal Noise Ratio (SNR), Packet Reception (PRR) Received Strength Indicator (RSSI), with respect distance between nodes. article focuses on estimating lifetime specific set configuration parameters, hardware selection power constraints. From experimental results, it observed transmissions can propagate 300 m environment, while consuming approx. 63% less energy spreading factor 7 at 2 dBm, without incurring significant packet loss PRR greater than 80%.
